If you look down and see earth, and look up and see the stars, you have the skills needed to be a star gazer/astronomer! We are fortunate to winter in a location that has warm, dry winter weather and many clear nights for stargazing. The area also has a number of great viewing and teaching sites such as the universities, Mt. Lemmon and Kitt Peak. Some of the sites we can see are the bright stars Sirius, Capella, Rigel, and Betelgeuse. If any of this interests you please join this club and start looking up to the skies on some of our beautiful fall and winter nights. Our dome is open for viewings on Thursdays starting at sunset. Best views are about one hour after sunset.
